A new UMBC Poll finds Maryland voters are divided on the state’s direction, with 49 percent saying Maryland is on the wrong track and 37 percent saying it’s headed in the right direction. The survey also found Governor Wes Moore’s job approval rating at 49 percent, with 42 percent disapproving. Economic concerns remain widespread, with 81 percent rating conditions in Maryland as poor or fair and 43 percent expecting them to get worse over the next year. Meanwhile, more than two-thirds of likely voters say artificial intelligence is having a mostly negative impact on society.
