Marilyn Mosby’s mortgage fraud conviction has been formally dismissed after prosecutors decided not to retry the former Baltimore City State’s Attorney. In 2024, Mosby was found guilty on two counts of perjury and one count of making a false statement on a loan application in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes. The mortgage fraud conviction was overturned by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in July of 2025. In a statement, Mosby says, in part, that she thanks God that this painful chapter of her life is finally over. She says the motion to dismiss the mortgage fraud conviction has been rightfully reversed and vacated.
