If you’re traveling to Hagerstown this weekend, a part of I-70 will be closed for drainpipe installation near mile marker 27. The Maryland State Highway Administration will close all lanes of westbound I-70 between Exit 28, Downsville Pike, and the I-81 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday through 9 p.m. Sunday. Drivers will be detoured onto Downsville Pike and guided back to I-70 via I-81. The work will take place weather permitting. There will be signs and flagging operations in place to guide motorists through the work zone.
