Federal help is on the way as Pennsylvania deals with a measles outbreak. The CDC announced it’s sending a “disease detective” from the agency’s epidemic intelligence unit to assist the state. Health officials in Pennsylvania confirmed over 12-hundred measles cases in their latest update, which is up from 86 the week before. The state has also confirmed six measles associated deaths. The CDC is also providing nearly four-million dollars in additional funding for measles response efforts in the Keystone State.
