FSU PROFESSOR CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER

Frostburg State University professor Assyad Mahmoud Al Wreikat is being held without bond at the Washington County Detention Center on attempted murder charges, after an alleged altercation with family members in Hagerstown. While the school is aware of his arrest, the incident is unrelated to Frostburg State University, but he has been placed on administrative leave, pending further information. He has a preliminary hearing November 12th in Washington County District Court.
