COMMISSIONERS HIRE FIRM TO VALUE WATER SYSTEM

The Allegany County Commissioners have hired the EADS Group, at a cost of $35,000, to estimate the value of a local water system, the Pinto Water and Wastewater and Highland Estates water system. The commissioners unanimously voted previously to use eminent domain to take the system, which is privately owned by American Water, a subsidiary of American Water Works Company.
