Maryland’s fall harvest season is getting underway, and that mean drivers should be on the lookout for large farm equipment. The State Highway Administration says, as the days get shorter and farmers harvest their crops, there will be slow-moving equipment like combines on rural roads – so drivers should use caution. There are more than 12-thousand working farms in the state and the harvest season continues through November. From 2020 to 2025, there were more than 280 crashes involving farm equipment on Maryland roadways.
