FATHER INDICTED FOR CRASH THAT KILLED HIS 5-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER

Rhode Island resident Donte Thornhill has been indicted by a Berkeley County grand jury, in connection with the death of his daughter on I-81 earlier this year. He was charged with one count of Gross Child Neglect, Resulting in Death. His five-year-old daughter was allegedly not in a car seat, or wearing a seatbelt when his pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer on January 4th. His daughter was ejected from the truck and died as the result of her injuries. He faces up to 15 years in jail, and $5,000 in fines, if convicted.
