GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES NEW INVESTMENT IN INITIATIVE

Governor Wes Moore has announced an additional 500-thousand-dollar investment in the Safer Stronger Together initiative in Hagerstown, Salisbury and East Baltimore. The funding will help to sustain local efforts to drive down crime and expand opportunities for young people through the departments of Human Services, Correctional Services and Juvenile Services. The funding follows a two-year pilot that led to measurable progress in serving young people by aligning services, improving coordination and empowering communities to shape safety strategies.
