Maryland Congressman Kwasi Mfume says he’ll be unable to attend inauguration ceremonies for President Trump on January 20th because it’s the day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. Former President of the NAACP, Mfume, who’s now 76, fought for 15 years to have Dr. King’s birthday recognized as a national holiday. Mfume says he’s going to spend the day providing hot meals at a soup kitchen and performing other service tasks.
