SPORTS BETTING UP IN APRIL

Sports betting numbers are up in Maryland.  The state’s Lottery and Gaming agency reports more than 486-million dollars in wagers were made in April.  That’s a 48-percent increase compared to April 2023.  Maryland’s 13 retail and eleven mobile sportsbooks contributed five-point-seven-million dollars to the state, which is the fourth-best single month total.
