CSX COULD RAISE GREENE STREET BRIDGE

Cumberland Mayor Ray Morriss says CSX Transportation has indicated interest in raising its span on Greene Street. The Cumberland Times-news states the city and CSX have discussed increasing its height “so the bridge doesn’t get hit,” according to the Mayor. Because of its clearance, less than 13-feet, it is frequently struck by trucks.
