APP POWER PREPARES FOR LINE UPGRADE

Appalachian Power is talking with landowners in Mason County where a transmission line upgrade is in the works.  Most of the 30-mile stretch of 60-year-ol infrastructure will need to be replaced, such as the old wooden poles being replaced with taller steel supports.  The work is scheduled to begin sometime next year.
