A Uniontown-native Marine veteran that many had labeled a hero is going to prison. Brandon Rumbaugh — who lost both of his legs in 2009 while serving in Afghanistan and later received the Commendation Medal for valor — pleaded guilty this week to charges including sexual assault and indecent assault of a person under 16 years old. A 13-year-old girl had told authorities that Rumbaugh sexually assaulted her multiple times at his home. Rumbaugh has been sentenced to eight to 24 years in prison.
