The Senator George Edwards Fund has reached a major milestone, awarding over $40.5 million in grants to date, which has leveraged a combined total project value of nearly $396,000 across Allegany, Garrett, and Washington counties. In Allegany County alone, over $13.2 million in total grant funding has been awarded, yielding nearly 500 jobs created. Washington County received grants of nearly $14 million, with 391 total jobs projected. And, Garrett County received $13.2 million with 401 potential jobs created, according to Jake Shade, Executive Director of the Western Maryland Economic Future Investment Board.
