WINTER STORM THREAT GROWING FOR THIS WEEKEND

The National Weather Service says a significant winter storm is becoming increasingly likely this weekend in the area.  Forecasters say strong Arctic cold and a storm system from the south could bring widespread accumulating snow.  Current forecast models show a medium to high chance of at least six inches, with a growing risk for higher totals.  Snow could begin Saturday afternoon and last into Sunday or even Monday.  The track and totals remain uncertain.
