JUSTICE ANNOUNCES UNVEILS STATE’S REOPENING

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has unveiled an aggressive plan to reopen the state’s economy, while loosening coronavirus testing benchmarks. Governor Justice is moving to lift restrictions if the state’s positive test rate stays below 3 per cent for three days, a reversal of a previous goal to have cases decline over two weeks. The first portion of Justice’s plan is already underway, with hospitals resuming performing elective procedures as soon as this week, and widespread testing of daycare workers is underway to allow the childcare facilities to open as soon as possible.
