Rawlings resident Jeffrey Lee Custer is being held without bond, following a barricade situation on Blooming Field Drive which began Tuesday afternoon, and ended peacefully at 2:13 a.m. yesterday. Custer had threatened to blow up his residence, as well as others in the area. He also told law enforcement he poured gasoline into the sewer system to spread to other residences. The area was evacuated. After hours of negotiation, a plan was put into place and executed, which resulted in Custer’s arrest, without incident. He was charged with reckless endangerment, false imprisonment, second-degree rape, arson threat, and other counts.
