A former Petersburg High School teacher has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, sexual abuse by a guardian, displaying obscene material to a minor and soliciting a minor via computer. Twenty-eight-year-old Jonathan McNemar is being held in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail on $115,000 bail. The charges reportedly involved a female student, and allegedly happened in 2018. McNemar had earlier submitted his resignation, which the Grant County Board of Education will review next week. The Sheriff’s Department there says the investigation is continuing to determine if other students were involved.
