A social media post states that some employees at the LaVale Dairy Queen are in isolation after a coworker reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. On a Facebook post, the company stated that due to the shortage of employees, the inside of the restaurant is closed to the public, but the drive-through is open, with limited hours. The business continues to check employees for fever and symptoms of the virus. Strict cleaning measures are in place, including hourly cleaning of high-contact areas, as well as face mask and glove usage.
