Allegany County Public Schools will open fully virtual next Tuesday; according to a news release from the school system, while acknowledging that returning to schools in person is important for the development and well-being of the students, the system also recognizes its obligation to pursue reopening in a manner which is safe for students teachers, and staff. Preparations are continuing, however, for small groups of students to receive some in-school learning, including students with disabilities, early childhood and elementary school students, at-risk students and CCTE students who need hands-on instruction.
