There have been nine new COVID-19 cases, and zero additional deaths in a week, according to the Allegany County Health Department. There will be a COVID-19 walk-in vaccination clinic this Saturday, in conjunction with the Juneteenth celebration in downtown Cumberland. The clinic will take place in the first floor conference room of the Fairfield Inn, directly adjacent to Canal Place. There will be a walk-in clinic today from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Health Department, and on Wednesday, from 9 to noon at the Potomac Fire Company on Main Street in Westernport. Thirty-seven per cent of Allegany County residents have been fully vaccinated.
