An Anne Arundel County judge is refusing to move up the sentencing date for Capital Gazette gunman Jarrod Ramos. According to the Washington Post, Circuit Judge Michael Wachs revealed in a court hearing Ramos wrote him a letter asking he be sentenced as soon as possible. Ramos also expressed a concern his lawyers were no longer adequately representing him. Last month, a jury found Ramos criminally responsible for the 2018 newsroom shooting that left five people dead. He faces up to five life sentences without parole when he is sentenced on September 28th.
