IMMUNOCOMPROMISED URGED TO GET COVID BOOSTER SHOT

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is recommending that fully vaccinated immunocompromised individuals get the COVID booster shot. Last week, the FDA gave the OK for moderately to severely immunocompromised people to get the shot, only if they’re fully vaccinated with the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine. State health officials say they are pleased that the federal government is taking steps to ensure individuals who are immunocompromised have the opportunity to receive another layer of protection against the virus.
