The U.S. Marshal’s Office working in conjunction with Baltimore Police and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force are being credited with rounding up more than ninety fugitives in the area. Operation Washout led to the arrest of ninety-three violent fugitives in the Baltimore region, including four murder suspects and eleven attempted murder suspects. Officials say the roundup followed a two-week operation in July. Officials say in addition to the fugitive arrests, a number of guns were seized in the sting operation. Others arrested include sixteen documented gang members and associates and suspects wanted for domestic violence, rape, and gun-related offenses.
