WORK SEARCH REQUIREMENTS NOT HELPING SOME BUSINESSES

Short staffed businesses in the midstate area of Pennsylvania say unemployment work search requirements aren’t helping them find workers.  While the work search requirements mean people are filling out applications, many say applicants aren’t following through on the interview process.  CEO of the PA Restaurant and Lodging Association John Longstreet says he doesn’t think work search requirements will fix staffing problems restaurants throughout the state are facing.  He says better benefits, like health care, will attract people back to the industry.
