UPMC-WESTERN MARYLAND NOT AT CAPACITY

There were rumors last week that UPMC-Western Maryland was at capacity, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to UPMC-Western Maryland, such is not the case. In a statement, officials say the facility does not have a shortage of beds and is not at capacity. Because of its extensive planning and preparation, all facilities are well-equipped and able to provide care to any patient with a medical need. All UPMC facilities are open, operating normally and ready to provide care for all. As the COVID-19 virus continues to evolve, UPMC is committed to making vaccines accessible for all, and encourages everyone who is eligible to receive their vaccine to do so.
