MARYLAND SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES MASK MANDATE

Maryland public school students will be required to wear masks for the start of the new academic year.  The state school board approved emergency legislation to require students and staff to wear masks in all public school buildings.  The mandate is aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19 and will be in place for 180 days.  The rule still needs to be approved by the Maryland General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review.
