Forty-four-year-old Travis Allen Duckworth has been charged with first-degree murder following the discovery of the body of 34-year-old Krystal Rose Gallen at a Gay Street residence Friday afternoon. A witness provided police with the name and description of a suspect; Duckworth was found with blood splatter on both himself and his clothing. The Allegany County C3I Unit, along with the Evidence Collection team from the Maryland State Police were on the scene, along with Cumberland City Police, who made the arrest. Evidence, including a homemade machete was recovered from the scene.
