Before Senate Majority Leader Tom Takubo was a lawmaker, he was and is a pulmonologist. The Republican leader from Kanawha County pleaded with those who remain unvaccinated to seek advice from doctors and not a random person on social media. The doctor-Senator is trying to get the message across that the vaccines do work, and they are keeping people out of the hospital. Of the record numbers of people presently in the hospital, nearly 95-percent of them did not get the vaccine.
