FRANCHOT NAMES P.G. COUNCILWOMAN AS RUNNING MATE

Maryland candidate for governor and state comptroller, Peter Franchot is naming his running mate for the 2022 election.  Franchot is tapping Prince George’s County Councilwoman Monique Anderson-Walker to be his lieutenant governor.  In a video, Franchot says he wanted to choose a running mate that can help Maryland “build back better” as it emerges from the pandemic.  Anderson-Walker is the first African-American woman to be elected to the P-G County Council.
