For the seven day period of December 10th through the 16th, there were no new schools identified with a school-wide COVID-19 outbreak. Several schools remain on the Maryland Department of Health Schoolwide Outbreak list, including Allegany High, Fort Hill High, Mountain Ridge and Mount Savage School. George’s Creek Elementary, West Side Elementary, Parkside Elementary, and Washington Middle School. Each had cohorts that met the definition of a cohort outbreak. ACPS had nine staff members and 63 students reported as positive for COVID-19 during the period. Five staff members and 109 students were identified as a close contact to a positive person and required to be quarantined.
