A well-being check in the Cresaptown Sheetz parking lot led to the arrest of 36-year-old Ashland, Oregon resident Brooke Christine Fitzgerald early yesterday morning. The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to check on the well-being of a possibly intoxicated person in a car. A K-9 scan resulted in a positive alert for drugs, with over 7 ounces of suspected heroin/fentanyl recovered. Ms. Fitzgerald was charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Cumberland City Police K-9 Unit.
