FEDERAL COURT POSTPONES JURY TRIALS DUE TO COVID UPTICK

The U.S. District Court in Maryland is postponing new jury trials and grand jury sessions until at least January 24th because of the spread of COVID-19.  Chief Judge James Bredar’s order also prevents unvaccinated people from entering federal courthouses or U.S. probation offices unless they show proof of a negative COVID test within the preceding three days. Federal District Courts will also hear some criminal and civil cases remotely.
