Pennsylvania fugitive Rob Eugene Smith, who had been wanted on armed robbery and parole violation charges, was arrested Wednesday in Wiley Ford. Smith tried to escape by striking a U.S. Marshal’s Service vehicle and a marked Ridgeley Police Department vehicle, after his vehicle was blocked in a business parking lot. Several guns were seized at the time of the arrest, and his vehicle was impounded by the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office. Smith was held at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta in lieu of a full $100,000 cash bond.
