The state Public Service Commission approved a rate increase for Potomac Edison and Mon Power, and considering another. The one-and-a-half-percent increase was approved late last month. Now the power companies are seeking another increase of 51-cents per month to help pay for wastewater upgrades at a couple of power plants.
