Mineral County Commission President Dr. Richard “Doc” Lechliter is not seeking reelection. His is the only county commission seat on the ballot this year, and the candidate filing deadline began Monday, and ends on January 29th. Lechliter made the decision some time ago, but wanted to keep the decision private until now. He says he would like to spend more time with his family, and in particular, his two grandchildren who live in the Stephens City, Virginia area.
