FEDERAL JUDGE MOVES MOSBY HEARING AFTER PRESS COMPLAINTS

A federal judge has moved Thursday’s hearing for Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby to a larger courtroom. The judge had scheduled a smaller courtroom and limited attendance due to COVID concerns but modified the plan after objections from the press. The larger courtroom will be deemed full when social distancing can no longer be maintained. There will be an overflow area where credentialed media can watch the proceedings on video and use electronic devices which is not allowed in the main courtroom. Mosby faces perjury and false statement charges in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes.
