Cumberland resident Dustin Thomas Walk was charged with second-degree assault and making a false statement to an officer, following a Monday morning incident on Potomac Street. One of the residents in the home told police Walk woke him up, jumped on him and repeatedly struck him with open hands and closed fists. Walk was later arrested and received a District Court hearing. He was later released on personal recognizance.
