MARYLAND JOBLESS CLAIMS DROP SLIGHTLY

Slightly fewer people are seeking unemployment benefits in Maryland.  The U.S. Labor Department reports just over two-thousand Marylanders filed for jobless benefits last week, a decrease of 20 from the previous week.  Claims fell by nearly 250 in DC, while Virginia saw an increase of close to 100.  Nationally, initial jobless filings fell by two-thousand, to 184-thousand.
