Maryland’s congressional delegation has announced more than 41-million-dollars in federal funding for Early Childhood Education. The money will be used for Head Start programs in the state to expand early learning, development, health services and family well-being. The lawmakers say the pandemic has had lasting impacts on education and families in the most vulnerable communities have been the most affected by the learning gap. The senators and congressmen say Head Start is a vital tool for closing the gap and achieving educational equality.
