PA. FIRST LADY REITERATES NEED FOR INVESTMENT IN WOMEN PRISONERS RE-ENTRY TO THE WORKFORCE

Pennsylvania’s First Lady, Frances Wolf is stressing the need for the state to invest in women with criminal histories.  Speaking at an event in York on Friday, she said securing jobs for formerly-incarcerated women is especially crucial given that 70 percent of women in state prisons are mothers and they are often the heads of their households.  The governor has proposed a one-million-dollar investment for reentry services at the local level.
