COX, MOORE WIN GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY

Republican Dan Cox, who has been backed by former President Donald Trump is his party’s nominee for Governor. He defeated former Maryland Commerce Secretary Kelly Schulz, who had been endorsed by Governor Larry Hogan. On the Democratic side, Wes Moore is the Democratic nominee for Governor. For the office of Comptroller, Brooke Lierman received nearly 72 per cent of the vote, and will face Republican Barry Glassman in November. In the 6th District race, Neil Parrott will square off against incumbent David Trone, who received just over 78 per cent of the vote yesterday. In the U.S. Senate race, Lori Friend is the Republican nominee, while incumbent Chris Van Hollen received nearly 75 per cent of the vote.
