A University of Maryland-Baltimore County police officer is now on home monitoring. The move comes days after 36-year-old Walter Christopher was arrested and charged with setting four fires while on duty at the UMBC campus. The judge handling a bail review for Christopher set bail at 50-thousand-dollars and placed him on electronic home monitoring. Christopher is facing second-degree arson, malicious burning and malicious destruction of property charges and remains suspended from his job pending a full review of the case.
