Sparkx Inc. will be building a new factory in Taylor County, West Virginia and hiring former coal miners. The plans for the plant off U.S. Route 50 will be at the site of a former glass factory. Sparkx will focus on battery production for off road vehicles, mining and farm equipment, and delivery vehicles. The United Mine Workers of America have been in talks with Sparkx to have former coal miners make up several of the 350 new positions.
