KEYSER MAY RECEIVE GRANT FROM CSX

Keyser may receive a grant from CSX that could help alleviate some of the problems arising from trains blocking railroad tracks in the north end of town. The city recently learned it may receive $30,000 to $40,000 from CSX to buy storage space to house a fire truck in the north end. In February, the city bought a utility terrain vehicle that is used as an emergency means of accessing patients for first responders in case the tracks are blocked. There are other long-term solutions being considered.
