SOME STATE OFFICIALS SAY DATES ON MAIL-IN BALLOTS SHOULDN’T BE REQUIRED

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court says it will soon rule on whether handwritten dates on mail-in ballots should be required.  Some state officials filed documents with the court earlier this week that say a ruling from nearly 50 years ago deemed the dates aren’t mandatory and that they’re also not needed to because the envelopes are supposed to be time-stamped at county offices.  The officials hope the state’s high court ruling happens in time for the November 8th elections.
