A Navy engineer and his wife are going to prison for trying to sell nuclear secrets to a foreign country. Jonathan and Diana Toebbe of Annapolis, Maryland admitted they tried to sell U.S. secrets about nuclear propulsion systems on submarines to a foreign nation, which was not named in court documents. U.S. District Judge Gina Groh on Wednesday called their crime one of the most serious she had seen in her courtroom, and did grave harm to the nation. Jonathan Toebbe was sentenced to over 19 years in prison. Diane Toebbe was sentenced to about 22 years.
