Officials with the Archdiocese of Baltimore say they will not oppose the release of a state report on child sexual abuse by clergy. This week, a group of unnamed people filed to keep the report sealed, which the state Attorney General’s office has opposed. In a statement, the archdiocese says it must be transparent about its past and would not oppose the public release of the report. The report follows an investigation by the state that identified more than 600 victims and found more than 150 priests were credibly accused of abuse.
