PARK AMPHITHEATER TO RECEIVE UPGRADES

Drawing on funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, the Cumberland Mayor and City Council will use over $170,000 to make improvements to the amphitheater at Constitution Park. All benches at the facility will be upgraded, with the total number increasing from 15 to 27. Other improvements include extending the concrete walkway from the pavilion to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and replacing the stone walkway from the pavilion to the stage with a concrete walkway. The Mayor and Council voted unanimously to upgrade the amphitheater during Tuesday’s regular meeting.
